Young Dancer Division
Pre-School through 3rd Grade
Your Child’s First Experience With Dance Matters
For many children, their Young Division class is their first experience in a dance studio.
We want that experience to be joyful. But we also believe young children are capable of learning much more than steps.
Our Young Division introduces dancers to age appropriate dance technique through age appropriate classes filled with movement, music & imagination. Along the way, they learn to listen, remember combinations, work independently, take corrections and discover the confidence that comes from mastering something new.
And because our class sizes are limited, your dancer is not simply another child in the room.
We get to know them.
Joyful classes • Strong foundations • Individual attention • Meaningful performance experiences
Tiny Toes
Where the Magic of Dance Begins
For our youngest dancers, every class is an adventure.
We might flutter like butterflies, tiptoe through an enchanted garden, dance like falling snowflakes or leap over an imaginary stream. Through music, stories and creative movement, Tiny Toes dancers discover the joy of moving their bodies and the excitement of dancing together.
And while it may feel like magic to them, they are learning all along.
Each class gently introduces the foundations of ballet while helping dancers develop coordination, musicality, listening skills and classroom independence. They learn to follow their teacher, take turns, remember simple movement patterns and become comfortable dancing without a grown-up by their side.
Most importantly, Tiny Toes gives children a place to imagine, explore and discover “I can do this!”
We want their very first memories of dance to be filled with music, movement, accomplishment and joy.
This class performs in our June Show performances!
For preschool dancers ages 3–4.
Classes Schedule For The 26/27 Season

Fancy Feet
Where Imagination Begins to Become Dance
Fancy Feet dancers are ready for a little more independence, a little more challenge, and a lot more dancing.
Classes still leave plenty of room for imagination and fun, but dancers begin to discover the excitement of learning steps, remembering combinations and seeing themselves improve from week to week.
Along the way, they are learning something just as important as the steps: how to listen, try again, accept corrections, encourage their classmates and feel proud of what they can accomplish.
This is the age when we often see a wonderful shift happen.
They’re not just coming to dance class anymore. They’re beginning to see themselves as dancers.
Fancy Feet Ballet
Ballet gives Fancy Feet dancers the foundation they need as they begin to grow. Through age appropriate exercises and combinations, dancers develop coordination, musicality, balance and control while learning ballet vocabulary and becoming more comfortable with the structure of a dance class.
There is still plenty of imagination and joy, but now dancers begin to experience the satisfaction of practicing something, mastering it and realizing, “I know how to do that!”
Fancy Feet Ballet dancers also begin experiencing the magic of performing on stage, participating in our classical Nutcracker and our June Show performances.
For dancers in Kindergarten and 1st Grade.
Fancy Feet Tap/Jazz Foundations
Ready to make some noise?
Tap/Jazz introduces dancers to two energetic styles in one class. Tap develops rhythm, musicality and coordination as dancers learn to create sounds with their feet, while jazz gives them a chance to move with energy, personality and expression.
It’s a lively complement to ballet and a wonderful opportunity for young dancers to discover another side of themselves.
Fancy Feet Tap/Jazz Foundations dancers perform in Nutcracker Beyond Tradition and our June Show performances.
Ballet enrollment is required for this class.
Why Ballet Is Our Foundation
Ballet builds the alignment, coordination, strength, musicality and movement vocabulary that support a dancer’s training across styles. That’s why some of our Young Division classes are designed to be taken alongside ballet.
It’s also where our name comes from: ballet is our foundation, not all that we teach.
Classes Schedule For The 26/27 Season
- Friday Fancy Feet Ballet: 5:30-6:15 PM
- Saturday Fancy Feet Ballet: 10:15–11:00 AM
- Saturday Tap/Jazz Foundations: 11:00AM-12:00PM
Shooting Stars
Where Confidence Takes Center Stage
By Shooting Stars, dancers are ready to do more.
They are building on the independence and skills developed in their earlier classes while discovering just how much they are capable of. Combinations become more detailed, technique becomes more important, and dancers begin taking greater ownership of their learning.
But growing as a dancer should still be joyful.
Shooting Stars classes give dancers the opportunity to explore different styles, develop their own personality as performers and experience the satisfaction that comes from working on something until it clicks.
This is an exciting stage. Dancers aren’t simply learning new steps. They’re gaining confidence, discovering their strengths and beginning to understand what it means to be part of a class and a performance.
For dancers in 2nd and 3rd Grade.
Shooting Stars Ballet
Ballet continues to build the foundation for everything that comes next. Dancers expand their ballet vocabulary while developing greater coordination, balance, musicality, strength and control.
Classes become more structured at this level, but we never lose the joy of dancing. Shooting Stars begin putting steps together into longer combinations, paying greater attention to details and discovering how technique can help them move with more confidence and expression.
Shooting Stars Ballet dancers perform in our classical Nutcracker and our June Show performances.
Shooting Stars Tap/Jazz Foundations
Two styles. Two completely different ways to move.
Tap challenges dancers to hear the music differently as they develop rhythm, timing, coordination and increasingly intricate footwork. Jazz encourages energy, expression and dynamic movement while introducing dancers to new steps and combinations.
Together, they give Shooting Stars the opportunity to become more versatile dancers while having a lot of fun along the way.
Shooting Stars Tap/Jazz dancers perform in Nutcracker Beyond Tradition and our June Show performances.
Ballet enrollment is required for this class.
Shooting Stars Hip Hop
Hip Hop gives dancers the chance to move with energy, confidence and plenty of personality.
Through age appropriate choreography and music, dancers develop coordination, musicality, rhythm and performance skills while exploring a movement style that feels completely different from their other classes.
It’s energetic, expressive and a place where dancers can let their individuality shine.
Shooting Stars Hip Hop dancers perform in Nutcracker Beyond Tradition and our June Show performances.
Shooting Stars Acro
Acro combines the artistry of dance with the excitement of learning acrobatic skills.
Dancers work progressively on strength, flexibility, balance and coordination while learning skills such as rolls, bridges, handstands and other age appropriate acrobatic movements. Skills are introduced carefully and built step by step so dancers can develop both confidence and proper technique.
Rather than treating acro as gymnastics performed alongside dance, we teach dancers how acrobatic movement can become part of their dancing.
Shooting Stars Acro dancers perform in Nutcracker Beyond Tradition and our June Show performances.
Ballet enrollment is required for this class.
Class Schedule for the 26/27 Season
- Wednesday Beginner Hip Hop: 5:30–6:30 PM
